Posted by NZ-Photo (Paris, France) on 9 February 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

Taken during Chinese New Year of the Golden Pig, last february (2007) in Paris Chinatown, France.

As this WE will take place 2008 Chinese New Year of the Rat celebrations, I just wanted to started with this fav shot from last year.

The Year of the Rat, which begins on February 7, 2008 and ends on January 25, 2009, is the first of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac.
[wikipedia :] Rats are leaders, pioneers and conquerors. They are charming, passionate, charismatic, practical and hardworking. Rat people are endowed with great leadership skills and are the most highly organized, meticulous, and systematic of the twelve signs. Intelligent and cunning at the same time, rats are highly ambitious

I should be around the Parade tomorrow in the streets to get some new photos of the event and will post some here next week.

Note : This photo was part of an exhibition about Chinese new Year around the World, that took place in Melbourne Chinese Museum from Dec, 5th 2007 to Feb, 1st 2008.
